2025 Altar Society Soup-erb Soup Sale
January 18-19, 2025 after all Masses in the Parish Hall
Please register to join the Soup Making Team to make 3 Quarts of Homemade Soup. Containers, lids and labels provided. Any soup is great.
Container Pick-Up January 11 & 12 in the parish hall after all Masses.
Soup Delivery Friday, January 17 to the parish office between 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. OR Saturday, January 18 to the Parish Hall between 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Booth Volunteers are needed after each Mass for a short amount of time. Please sign up to work in the booth after your desired Mass by registering your name in that time area.
Loaves of cornbread and tickets to win Soup-A-Month for a Year will be sold. Proceeds for all church candles used throughout the year.

Heavenly Entrees Sale
Join our Heavenly Entrees Crew and raise money for Altar Candles. Make one entree of any type to be served cold or hot, and split into two 5-inch x 8-inch disposable aluminum pans provided. Pre-cooked ready for warming, uncooked ready for baking, or a cold dish ready to serve, variety works well for this sale. Serving instructions will be written on the lid.
Additional info about entree pan pick-up and delivery on March 9 and 10th will be sent to you by Michelle McGannon after you volunteer below. NO NEED TO LIST THE TYPE OF ENTREE YOU WILL MAKE. Have questions, call Michelle (405) 740-8556. Thank You!!!
Memorial Mass
Altar Society Champagne Brunch and Remembrance Mass
The Altar Society invites all women of the parish to enjoy a Champagne Brunch and Remembrance Mass on Saturday morning, April 26 in honor of all our dear ladies who have died within the last year. Mass starts at 8:30 a.m. in the Church, followed by a beautiful candlelit memorial service and breakfast prepared and served by Altar Society ladies in the Parish Hall at 9:00 a.m. There will be time for sharing, caring, remembering plus gifts.
Event ends at 11:00 a.m. PLEASE COME!
Christmas Decorating
Join us on Tuesday, December 23 to decorate the church for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Mass. Many hands will make light work, so please plan to join us.
The 18th Street Sweet Shoppe Sale
This year’s Altar Society’s Sweet Shoppe Sale will be November 23 and November 24 in the parish hall after all the Masses. Please consider helping us raise money for all the funeral dinners and altar linens throughout the year. You may make anything you want, a favorite recipe or something new, everything sells. Deliver items on 11/22 in Parish Office 8:30 am - 4:00 pm or 11/23 in Parish Hall 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Volunteers will plate, wrap and price each item before the sale. Call me if you need to make other arrangements.
Item packaging info: quiches, breakfast casseroles, cakes, pies and breads, etc. sell well on a sturdy plate. Single serve items such as cookies, brownies, etc. can be packaged in 3, 6 or 12 count. Package candies as 1 item appropriate serving sizes. Also jellies, salsas and cheese balls sell well. Please identify these items with a label and indicate if nuts are used.
We have an inventory of serving plates, bowls, etc. on hand, so if you need us to package your item, drop it off in a disposable plan and we will take care of it.
Not a baker, we need help in the booth. Sign up below with Sign-Up Genius to pick you 1 hour booth time. Just call me if you need help with this.

Fall Fellowship
Consider giving yourself the gift of time, just 2 hours on October 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. The Altar Society is offering it’s annual Fall Fellowship to all women of the parish.
Oktoberfest Cupcake Stand

Mimosas and Muffins
Ladies of the Parish. You are invited to the annual Altar Society Mimosas and Muffins on Saturday. August 17, 10:00 a.m. - NOON in the Parish Hall. Enjoy homemade muffins, sparkling mimosas and warm fellowship with the women of St. Francis while learning ways to serve your parish. Spring Fellowship
Join us for our Spring Fellowship Tuesday, April 9th in the Parish Hall. Our speaker will be from the Women’s Sanctuary.
We will be collecting donations for Women’s Sanctuary. Donated items needed are:
Please consider helping the Sanctuary Women’s Development Center. It is a day shelter serving homeless and at-risk women and children. Donations needed: travel size shampoo, conditioner, lotion, socks, chapstick, new underwear (size large), Walmart gift cards, bras, depends and sanitary pads.
We Make It You Take It Casserole Sale
Please consider volunteering to make one casserole and split it into two 5 x 8-inch pans provided with lids for our sale. It can be either a bake/serve or heat/serve dish with serving instructions written on the shiny lid top. Any type of casserole will work.
Casserole pan-pick up will be on March 2-3 after all the Masses in the parish hall. Casserole drop-off will be in the Parish Hall either on Friday, March 8 from 8:30 am-4:00 pm or Saturday, March 9 from 2:00-6:00 pm. All casseroles must be dropped off by Saturday night at 6:00 pm.
Three Booth volunteers are needed after each Mass. Registration to serve is available below.

Fall Fellowship
Consider giving yourself the gift of time, just 2 hours on November 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. The Altar Society is offering it’s annual November Fellowship to all women of the parish. If you can imagine homemade soup, salad, rolls, and dessert prepared for you and all you must do is sit back and enjoy. Fr. Novak will join us and share behind the scenes stories about the Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine. Gifts for Willow will be collected, diapers, bottles, formula, baby wipes, clothes for ages 0-4, bottles, blankets, etc. Hosted by the St. Theresa and St. Joseph Guilds.

The Mass is offered for family members and Altar Society ladies who have passed away in the current year. The dinner is catered and we do a review of the year and offer gratitude to all. Join us for a simple Lenten supper in the Parish Hall following Stations of the Cross.
The 18th Street Sweet Shoppe Sale
Volunteer to bake or work the sale in the Parish Hall on Sat. Nov. 20, 2021 – Sun. Nov. 21, 2021 after the Masses. Times include Saturday at 6:00 pm, or Sunday at 9:30 am and Noon. This is a great fundraiser for Altar Society and so yummy! Please sign-up to bake or work the booth below.
Fellowship Dinner and Program
Fr. Bill Pruett’s Wine Information and Tasting Event.
Come and listen as Fr. Pruett, Pastor of St. James the Greater Parish educates us on what wines are best to serve with certain foods. Wine Tasting will be offered. Dinner will be served after the presentation.
You are asked to bring an unwrapped baby gift for a child ages 0 to 4 years old such as clothing, onesies, diapers, baby wipes, formula, receiving and other blankets, sleepers, etc. These items will be donated to Willow Pregnancy Services. The guild bringing the most baby gifts will be served dinner first.
